In North Kazakhstan region’s economy, the key sector is agriculture
Key opportunities for region are associated with the transition to intensive industrial production in agriculture. Nearly ¾ of industry is accounted for manufacturing industry with a focus on food industry (61.2%). Favorable geographical position, high road density, important railway junction provide the region with high transit potential. Economic concentration is located in the city of Petropavl and districts of Kyzylzhar, Taiynsha and Gabit Musrepov.
